Can you get rid of bed bugs yourself in Knoxville?
If you have a bed bug infestation, it’s best to get professional treatment. However, there are three things you can do to help lessen the severity of an infestation:
High-heat wash for bedding. High heat is known to be very effective at killing bed bugs. Strip your bed of all linens and carefully transfer them to your laundry machine. Wash the bedding at a high temperature (at least 140°F) for 90 minutes or more.
Vacuum. Thoroughly vacuum your home, paying close attention to any bed bug hot spots, such as underneath furniture and between wall joints. Use attachments to reach inaccessible areas and to use on pillows, cushions, and more. Always empty the contents into a trash can outdoors.
Freeze infested items. Similarly to high heat, freezing temperatures are proven to kill bed bugs. The temperature of the freezer must remain at or below 0°F, and infested items (pillows, bedding, etc.) should be left in the freezer for at least four days.

Does all-natural bed bug treatment work?
All-natural treatments are certainly appealing, but unfortunately they rarely help when you have a full-blown infestation. Some of these methods include tea tree oil, diatomaceous earth, baking soda, dryer sheets, and other more natural items. While these methods may help kill off some bed bugs, they will never be enough to control a full-blown infestation. However, it’s still worth a try if you are waiting for professional bed bug treatment.
Getting rid of all bed bugs
For complete control of a bed bug problem in your home, you almost always need the help of a bed bug exterminator. No one wants to deal with lingering bed bugs, which is why it’s best to enlist the expertise of someone who can take care of the problem as quickly as possible. You can be sure a professional will ensure all bed bugs in all stages of life are removed from your property.
