Termite Protection You Can Trust
If you’re concerned about termites, you are not alone. These wood destroying insects are responsible for several billion dollars in damages to homes in the U.S. every year. That’s more damage than tornadoes, fires, and earthquakes combined. Here in Tennessee, they are a serious pest problem for property owners and require a professional solution. If you’ve noticed winged termites (also called swarmers) emerging from your home or outside, have found mud tubes extending from the ground to your structure, and other wood damage, you may already have a termite problem. Let us help! Russell’s Pest Control offers effective termite control services that feature the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System with Always Active Technology.
How The Sentricon System Works
This environmentally friendly termite control method starts working as soon as it’s installed, lasts a full year and does not require additional inspections. Best of all, Russell’s Pest Control offers a termite damage repair agreement if you have a Sentricon service with us. That means we will cover any termite damage to the home after the Sentricon is installed!
Sentricon Termite Pre-Treatments
We recommend using Sentricon for pre-treatments because it is so effective in eliminating and preventing termite infestations. This termite baiting system keeps termites from molting, therefore eliminating the workers and starving the rest of the colony including the queen. For new houses, the Sentricon System is installed after construction is complete.
Benefits of The Sentricon System As A Pre-Treat
- Only one appointment is necessary
- Bait stations provide protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year
- Includes a year-long warranty that is easily transferred to the buyers
Termites do not break for weekends, holidays or even sleep but will continuously work, breaking down and consuming wood and wood products. And they will inflict significant damage to a structure if not caught. Unfortunately, most homeowners do not realize they have a termite infestation until it's too late and they've discovered termite damage OR they watch a termite swarm occur right in their own living room. If you’re concerned about termites or if you’ve simply never had a termite inspection completed for your home or business, Russell’s Pest Control is standing by with highly trained and certified termite inspectors who will check all visible and accessible areas for signs of termites and/or live termites inside and outside the structure.
What we look for during a termite inspection:
- Termite tunnels and termite tunnel stains (when a tunnel has been scraped off a block wall)
- Imperfections in the sheetrock
- Baseboards stained by moisture from mud
- Actual termites when mulch is pulled back from the foundation, other areas that have wood to soil contact and under stepping stones
- In crawl areas, we’ll also pull back insulation and look at the sill plates and conduct a sound test as well
- Moisture readings of the floor joist (if 18% or above, there’s a pretty good chance we’ll find termites somewhere)
If zero evidence of these pests are found, you’re all set. We do recommend scheduling a termite inspection once a year to be sure your home stays termite free.
If termite damage or other evidence is found, the termite inspector will explain what was found, where it was found, and provide a quote to get rid of termites that includes the installation of the Sentricon System.
